As usual foe February's workshops our theme is "Hearts for all occasions" - so included valentines, with love, engagement , wedding anniversary, mothers day etc. The die I choose for this month was one from creative expressions which is a heart surrounded by flowers which as usual I have tried to use in different ways. I then looked at older heart dies I had and did a bit more with them.

The weeks before Christmas I made a number of tree boxes to hold chocolates for table decorations and gifts instead of crackers ( although I did still make crackers for the children). The great thing with the tree boxes was that they were refillable so my 2 eldest grandchildren made their own and then kept going to the tub of chocolates to refill them!!
I was asked recently when we use our clear pads. The main stamped images have been coloured with embossing powders but backgrounds obtained by using pad for watermark or then going over with mica powders, I also used the pads to create a tile effect with clear embossing powders,
These embossing folders rom craft too I coloured in various ways including using their mica magic
I used this die from creative expressions in various ways - paper piecing ( 2ways), alcohol inks plus coluring embossed image.
