Each time the magazine stamps come out I have to find new ideas to do with them. Last time we looked at using the metallic gilding polishes from creative expressions I have used these again on some cards this time as well as using the colour core with the piano but my new product to try out this time was the cosmic shimmer PIXIE POWDERS.

Stampendous Embossing Powders
Inspired by Fran's book o n embossing powder techniques I cam up with the following. Some are better than others and the board I put my oddments on is continually being changed since I'm not happy with it but it does show a few more powder uses at the moment.
These were done after a workshop with Fran a few years ago on using powders so I dug them out to show adaptations of more ideas from her book

Home Decor - Driftwood
This driftwood and MDF shapes from creative expressions is great for decorating either with paints and inks or metallic gilding polishes.
The ideas are inspired by items we saw at the trade show from John and Lisa.
the above are my samples and those below were done at our craft group

Homes from Stampendous and elsewhere
Love the stamp and die sets from Stampendous but I also had a new castle die in so thought an ideal place to put that.
Again there will be more samples in the coming weeks

Hobbies at Home with Woodware stamps etc.
Sewing, knitting, cooking etc., these stamps give a bit of something different and have proved popular.
I also added stencil & die cups from dreamweaver thinking one needs a cuppa whilst keeping busy.
More work needs doing with these. As with everything at the moment it has been a case of getting a few examples for each workshop before our demo day last Saturday - more will follow

Outdoor and Other Hobbies
First of all - sorry that there's been nothing for last 2 weeks but we have been without the internet. You realise how much you rely on it - even if you only use it for certain things as I do!
This workshop started with the Woodware walking boots the progressed to using the Leabiliites die for the rucksac and shoes after which I looked at other new dies like the musical instruments. In most of the cards I have used the metallic gilding polishes from creative expressions again to try to get maximum use out if them.

Stampendous Ideas for all ages
For this workshop I looked at lots of different products we have from Stampendous.
There are the stamps and matching dies - some of which I have shown before - dogs, rabbits and bird, to which I have added some of the new cute animals and the daisy mix which I showed with "A floral delight". Then there was the new popcessories die as well as the original pop up die - so I had to try various combinations with this, and then of course when we want nice backgrounds there are those which I have created using the creative palette and old paints ( you don't have to use old paints - but I promote it as a way of using up all of your old paints whatever type they are)
just realised I have done more cards since this picture was taken - must do a new one, but I'll leave this here ion case I forget!!

A Floral Delight
For this workshop I have a great choice.....
first of all there a choice of cards from the lea - bilities blossom 9 which I showed on 11th March posting, then there is a choice from the stampendous daisy mix ( some of these are also on the stampendous workshop also) - these are great because you can use them with the stencil provided with the stamps or with the matching dies Then finally I tried some cards with the Woodware stamps which we are going to use on the bags.
Hope you like them (I admit some are better than others but I like to give people a choice!)

CS30 DECORATIVE ROSES & metallic gilding polishes
I suddenly realised that I haven't been up to date with the workshops boards for those who like to preview what we are doing so I'll try and catch up over the next few days.
Over the last two weeks I have concentrated on the latest creative stamping magazine stamps - Decorative roses which I really love and using them with the new metallic gilding polishes from creative expressions although we are experiencing difficulty getting stock in of these. Initially we had some problems with using them to get the same effect as John Lockwood achieved but I then thought I'd cracked it only to find at our retailer training on Monday that John uses them differently. I now do a mixture of the two - dragging sponge across to pick up polish, as John showed us but also damping the sponge at the end and creating background effects that are of a lighter colour in order to clean the sponge and get wonderful backgrounds.
I hope you like the effects
I am doing them on the CS workshop on Tuesday - full day or half day options if anyone wants to come along and try them out.
