workshop cards

I've been busy lately with visiting the trade show and then having 3 workshops last week, so I've not had time to make cards I did take a few pictures of cards done at the workshops and so I thought I'd share those with you. I usually put these on my face book page "LLindas Greetings Cards and Crafts Accessories" so there might be some duplication this week.

In The Animal Kingdom

 This title was to encompass all sorts of animals, from dinosaurs to butterflies.
The dinosaurs were put on magnetic backgrounds which attached to the card via other bits of magnet which were the scraps used as boulders on the background. I also used the hills and clouds die from Sue Wilson on these cards.
Lots of others involved rabbits - preparation for Easter??? and other Woodware animal stamps
I then used some media plate backgounds for cat dies etc. and some double stencil work for the Elephant and butterfly.

Love

I always do love at this time of year ready for Valentines Day but no one usually wants that so they cover Weddings, Anniversaries, Engagement etc. I tried using the heart media plate on these ( the single heart card is on then media plates board) and also I used the poinsettia die  for the flowers to see how it looked. Stamps are Woodware. I have others half done on my desk but haven't finished them yet and with workshops coming up soon thought I ought to get some of the ideas out there.

More Ideas with Media plates

The John Lockwood media plates feature in all of my workshop boards and I have left some Christmas ideas out to show yet more uses of these plates but here are just a few extra to those shown before.

The Plant World

This workshop board incorporates fungi, flowers and leaves using woodware stamps and creative expression dies plus dreamweaver stencils so lots going on and as usual I keep trying out new ideas.

CS 51 Vintage Springtime

These are the first few cards I have done getting ready for the next round of workshops. I'm not ever so happy with them - it takes a while to get back into the swing of things after a break doesn't it? -  so I  will do a few more before the all day workshop but I have made a start ready for next week

Received Handmade Christmas Cards

I have just realised how long it has been since I last posted anything. That of course was due to Christmas and 3 week of shop closure during which time I didn't make a single card.
I did take a photo of cards from customers and friends that I thought I could share with you. The intention was to send this last week but other things took over....

I am now working on the next round of workshop boards so there should be other initial samples coming through soon.

A Winter Village

I was looking at how to use the tando creative houses I have on the shelf in the shop and wondering what to do. I remembered I'd seen  a village done at the show where I decided to buy these so set about trying to create one. It still needs some finishing ouches and perhaps more houses but this is where I am at so far

Two different views - as I say - it is a work in progress but the houses could be part of the December greyboard workshop

Stencils

These are a few of the stencil ideas we have used in Christmas workshops this season

Techniques include embossing paste in various ways as well as machine embossing and then colouring. I also tried using metallic gilding polishes in 2 ways for the centre top card
