This month I have used two dies from creative expressions - the christmas pudding and the robin scene.
The robin has various backgrounds with alcohol inks and kitchen foil, usually used for stained glass effects.
This month I have used two dies from creative expressions - the christmas pudding and the robin scene.
The robin has various backgrounds with alcohol inks and kitchen foil, usually used for stained glass effects.
Stamping for this month started with the novelty reindeer head which I tried cutting in different ways.
I then moved onto the scenic stamps, using them with different dies for frames. The next choice was the Anamone stamp which I pretended was a poppy for Remembrance in November .
The bauble stamp and DL nativity were from last years' stamps but I have similar ones for sale so I thought I'd include them
For this month's stencilling I decided to use various types of glitter paste. I used both metal and plastic stencils and masks.
As you can see I had a great time paying with these new dies and had to stop myself trying more ideas and move onto stamping..
The first stamp I used was a new one from creative expressions involving penquins.
I had another new lovely stamp in the shop that was a solid stamp. Since I have a few of this type of stamp I used my old ones to show the differences obtained by using either coloured inks and clear powder or coloured powders.
As you can see I tried a number of variations and didn't put them all into cards
Once again I thought these could be used for Christmas or other cards. They can have faces or not, cream topping or not. I then tried different products for the toppings including fluffy stuff, flock, pearly stuff etc. I also used different products to colour the mugs and different backgrounds.
since I can't access my website where this usually goes I decided to put it on my blog and facebook page in hope of reaching people

SEPTEMBER NEWSLETTER 2022
Hi Everyone
Hope you are all well and after a nice summer that you are getting
ready to start crafting again.
I have been planning for the Christmas season. Both creative
expressions and crafts too have been showing new designs during June, July
& August and I’ve bought some bits ready to try out.
I have also been looking at some
of the discounted dies I bought last month and how to use them so hopefully I
can inspire you to buy as some customers have done already.
As usual if you are making a special journey please ring first to check
I’m open.
I know times are difficult for many at the moment but I am afraid that
I will have to put up the price of workshops to help pay for increased expenses
and heating costs. Workshops have been at their current level for many years
now and I should have put them up before to meet expenses. The new cost will
therefore be £6 per hour. I will still give discount of your purchases at the
workshop so if you spend a lot you can get the increase back. (As an interim offer
if you come this month and no heating is required, I will charge £5 per
hour)

Knowing September is a time when some people want to start Christmas cards and others don't I thought if we looked at different backgrounds we can produce and then they can be used with either Christmas papercuts or others.
I have used sprays (different sorts), gilding polishes, pixie powders, inks, gilding flakes, glitter & micro beads plus our waste build up sheets.
September's use of stencils revolves around using them with sprays to get a positive and negative image.
We used this idea on a workshop this week and you can see customer variations on my facebook page
"LLindas Greetings Cards & Crafts Accessories"
Different sorts of spray were used to compare results - hence the 2 similar swirls.
These are mainly papercuts. The horse was a new die, the hummingbird we had last year and the thistle is an old die but new to us. I have looked at colouring images with simple backgrounds and keeping plain images against a prepared background ( Pixie powders & my clean up sheets).
